The PSAM community is truly international and benefits from risk and safety perspectives from around the world. Accordingly, the conference alternates between American, European, and Asian destinations every two years. We welcome this international community to join the PSAM 18 conference in 2026 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.

Visa Waiver Program

For our non-U.S. attendees coming to the conference, citizens from many countries qualify under the Visa Waiver Program and do not require visas to attend a scientific conference such as PSAM.

For Attendees Requiring Visas

For those conference attendees requiring visas, our best advice is to begin the process early to allow sufficient time to secure visas.

In most cases, a Visitor Visa for B-1 Business Travel "to attend a scientific conference" is the appropriate visa category.

Letter of Invitation

A letter of invitation is available upon request from the PSAM General Chair:

Dr. Ron Boring
Email: general.chair@iapsam.org

This letter (along with accepted paper notifications and your conference and hotel registration) are useful documentation that support the visa application.

U.S. State Department Resources

Visa requirements are subject to change. We encourage international visitors to closely review the most current visa requirements posted by the U.S. State Department:
